6. How many dogs have you "owned"? 6
7. What breeds are you most familiar working with? Working dogs - border collies, retrievers, GSDs etc
8. Do you have any formal dog training qualification? What are they? If not, why do you feel that you are a competent dog trainer? I've spent many years studying the science and art of dog behaviour and training. I've read, practised, attended seminars and practised some more.  I am always learning and reflecting on what I know and do. I've achieved results with my own dogs and through helping others.  I'm also a registered school teacher with strong knowledge and interest in how learning happens and how to teach people.
9. How many dogs have you trained? (approx.) 100+
10. How many years have you been in business? Since 2014
11. Do you work closely with a veterinarian and get referrals from them? Not yet
12. What experiences do you have with dogs? (ie. obedience, agility, work at SPCA etc) Instructing puppy classes, domestic obedience and agility classes. Supporting at an SPCA. Competing in obedience and agility. Working with the difficulties my own dogs have experienced and sharing what I know online and face to face.
13. What are your favourite dog books?

Control Unleashed and Control Unleashed - The Puppy Program by Leslie McDevitt,

Canine Body Language - A Photographic Guide by Brenda Aloff,

Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson

14. Is there anything else we should know about you and your dog training business? Learning about dog training changed the way I parented my children and has opened the doors to ever widening interests. I want people to enjoy their dogs as much as I do mine and to become aware of and strengthen their own skills e.g. patience, consistency, problem solving etc. For more information, please check out my website and Facebook page.
